Put the little spider near the start in a jar from the tavern. It will scare them away.

you use the oil on the shelf to fix the chest in which is a cane. you then use the cane on the drain

Get the empty jar from the shelf at the tavern. Put the spider from the market stall in the empty jar. Use the jarred spider on the kissing girls.
